Your sports medicine specialists

If you’re recovering from an injury or just want to reach your athletic potential, you’ll find a sports medicine expert who can benefit you.

Athletic Trainers

Athletic trainers help you prevent injuries, and they might diagnose and treat you after you get hurt. They make rehabilitation and exercise plans just for you to help you get back to work or play as quickly and safely as possible.

Exercise Physiologists

Exercise physiologists help you use physical activity to get healthier, especially if you have a condition like heart disease, lung disease or diabetes. They also can show you how to perform athletic activities better and more safely.

You’ll get an exercise plan – designed just for you – to increase fitness, strength, flexibility and endurance.

Physical Therapists

After an injury, a physical therapist helps you set and achieve goals for recovery. He or she uses exercises, stretches, hands-on therapy and tools or equipment to ease your pain, make movement easier and prevent future injuries.

Athletes at your local high school in Sullivan County or Hawkins County, as well as Emory & Henry College, benefit from Ballad Health athletic trainers who:

  • Help rehabilitate sports injuries
