Ballad Health’s Neurosciences Symposium set for March

Ballad Health’s Neurosciences Symposium will take place on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the James and Nellie Brinkley Center, formerly Millenium Centre, in Johnson City.

The symposium, which runs from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and features leading experts in stroke treatment, interventional radiology and much more, is open to physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and any healthcare professional interested in learning more about neurosciences in our region.

Topics to be covered include:

  • Neuro assessments and cranial bleeds
  • Acute stroke time management
  • Vestibular therapy and posterior strokes
  • Updates in pharmacotherapy for traumatic brain injury
  • Introduction to Epilepsy
  • Acute stroke care

“Our Neuroscience Symposium this year is focused on providing up-to-date knowledge and skills related to stroke, traumatic brain injury and epilepsy from a multidisciplinary team of speakers,” said Jessica Halsey, Ballad Health Medical Associates assistant vice president and service line leader for neurosciences at Ballad Health. “The collaboration with multiple disciplines will benefit participants by providing a comprehensive review of how participants can manage patients with neuroscience disorders. I am so proud of our symposium committee, consisting of Ballad Health stroke coordinators, for bringing this educational opportunity to providers in our region to ensure they have the neuroscience knowledge base to provide the best possible care.”
