Community Health Resources

Your source for screenings and important health information

Services and programs

As part of a new outreach strategy, Ballad Health’s Community Health Resources will bring its health and wellness classes directly to communities across the Appalachian Highlands region beginning Feb. 3, 2020.

The Community Health Resources’ team of experienced health professionals and nurses will be able to travel anywhere in the Ballad Health service area to teach classes on health and wellness to different organizations and community groups.

Some of the classes that will be offered in the community include management and prevention of diabetes and chronic conditions, such as COPD and heart failure, as well as classes on healthy cooking, stress management and smoking cessation.

Anyone interested in bringing a Community Health Resources service to their community can contact Crystal Rush at crystal.rush@balladhealth.org to schedule a free class.

Community Health Resources teams are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m., and after hours as requested.

You can also visit one of our locations. There is one located inside The Wellness Center in Johnson City and another at 1905 American Way in Kingsport. Please call 423-915-5200 for hours of operation.
