Advancement Opportunities for Nurses

Your nursing career starts here

Ballad Health offers a variety of opportunities for career growth for our clinical team members.

We want to be an active part of your journey. Let us help you kickstart your career in nursing.

Certification pay

We highly encourage our clinical team members to pursue professional certification, and we provide both opportunities and incentives for team members wanting to grow in their field.

Our nurses can earn additional pay through a certification differential for team members who achieve a national certification that aligns with their primary role.

PACE (Professional Achievement of Clinical Excellence) program

Developed to recognize the value of the clinical bedside care provider, new graduate RN / LPN team members are eligible after one year of employment in a licensed or certified role in a 0.6 FTE or higher position. If you already have clinical experience greater than one year in a licensed position (RN for an RN role or LPN for an LPN role), you must be employed with Ballad Health for at least six months before you are eligible to apply for PACE.

There are three levels to the PACE program, and we offer financial compensation for each level team members achieve.

Financial support for continued education

We know that continued education plays a massive role in advancing your career.

Once a team member has been full-time for one year or part-time for two years, they can apply for tuition reimbursement for furthering education.

We also offer free continuing nurse education (CNE) for team members.

Organizational development

Ballad Health offers free continued education opportunities, tuition reimbursement, scholarships and formal advancement opportunities through organizational development – like our Aspiring Leader program.
